Vietnam is celebrated as a “street food paradise,” where thousands of diverse dishes can be savored from bustling cities to tranquil villages, from coastal plains to mountain highlands. In 2021, to honor and promote this unique cultural value, the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) and the Global Vietnamese Records Organization (VietWorld) jointly submitted a World Record nomination: Vietnam - The country with the most diverse and enticing street food in the world. At that time, Vietnam was proudly recognized for an impressive collection of 500 distinctive street food dishes.
